THE PROJECT

A leading hospitality brand approached Contour to develop a dining chair that could be used across its locations nationwide, creating a consistent look and cohesive brand experience. Over the course of two years, we have outfitted locations across five states, with the project continuing to expand. The chair was designed around specific requirements for lightweight construction, nesting and stacking capability, durability, and a refined finish suitable for high-traffic hospitality environments. We worked closely with the client on material selection and finishing to develop a chair that balanced performance with the brand’s aesthetic.

Production required careful attention to quality, compliance, and logistics. We partnered with SGS on quality assurance, material compliance, and fire-retardancy requirements, and worked with the CPSC to ensure the chairs met current labeling and safety requirements. The client required the chairs to arrive fully assembled, so we developed packaging specifically around the assembled chairs and coordinated manufacturing, packing, international shipping, and delivery through to the U.S.
